OfficePortal allows admins to control how employees mark their attendance by configuring Check-In and Check-Out Settings. These settings can be applied at the organisation level.
1. Allow web check-in/check-out
Employees have to click on the check-in/check-out button manually.
Mark yes or no for this option based on your organisational policies.
2. Allow access only through the mobile app, not through the browser
Mark yes or no for this option based on your organisational policies.
3. Allow bio-metric check-in/check-out
When the biometric device has been configured with OfficePortal, whenever employees do punch-in/punch-out, the check-in/check-out will be marked.
Mark yes or no for this option based on your organisational policies.
4. Allow automatic check-in/check-out
If the monitoring tool has been installed, whenever the system/laptop has logged in/logged-out, the check-in/check-out will be marked automatically.
Mark yes or no for this option based on your organisational policies.
Note: Enable either bio-metric or automatic check-in/check-out at a time
5. Make check-out mandatory every day
If no checkout found, the checkout time will be determined either by auto-checkout or the shift end time or the day end time.
Mark yes or no for this option based on your organisational policies.
6. Late mark display mode – here we have three options to choose between
- Don’t show late mark
- Show only after grace period is violated – Displays the late icon only when an employee checks in past the allotted grace time.
- Show for any late punch
Note: If a shift has no grace period configured, any late check-in will display the late icon.
